Overview of Education and Field Experience
Sainesh has over 27 years of senior management experience in Sales, Distribution, Business Development, Operations Management and Government & Regulatory Engagements in the highly demanding and consumer driven industries like satellite & broadcast, telecom, banking, insurance and education.His last 15 years have been spent as an integral part of the CII operations across the Central and South Asia region. At the CII, Sainesh’s role first involved setting up of the CII’s liaison office in India in 2007 and later the subsidiary company in 2011. He was involved in forging strong relationships for the CII mainly in the markets of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Central Asia; across various segments, ranging from regulators, trade bodies to educational institutes, insurance companies and broking houses. Some of the key milestones included the grant of the regulatory exam for life insurance agents in India with more than 5 million candidates taking the licensing exam over a period of 3 years from 2011 to 2014 and the major initiative launched with Life Insurance Corporation of India to run financial planning courses for their top 5000 agents across 50 cities in India. Sainesh's previous roles in leadership positions included a stint with Hollard Insurance Co. Ltd, Tata AIG Life and HDFC bank. At the start of his career, Sainesh was also part of the core strategic team of Reliance Industries that launched the Reliance infocom business in India.
